Design a solid campaign

Written on March 2, 2012 at 7:44 pm, by

Sending out a whole bunch of text in an email that is intended to entice people to visit your website isn’t really the best way to drive traffic. You need something eye catching and relevant to your recipients’ interests. It’s important that when they open the email they are drawn to clicking through to your page. This is where a good web design program comes into play. Most web design programs will have an option for designing an email based off a template. It will allow you to quickly and easily make an interesting email which will make your campaign more of a success, in turn increasing traffic and business.

Backup your important stuff.

The title says it all, plain and simple. Be sure you keep backups of everything on your computer that you deem important.  This is especially important if you are running an online business. I assume most people looking for an email marketing company have some sort of business they are running, so I can not stress enough how important it is to have a remote backup of all of your files. I personally use Carbonite. They’re relatively inexpensive – but they give me comfort of knowing my files are safe. I’ve had my hosting account hacked before and I would have been out of business had I not saved a backup. Seriously, it’s important.

Domain names

I’d like to talk about domain names for a few minutes. I’m using email marketing to further my business, but don’t think that a domain name isn’t an integral part of having a successful website. The domain name for this blog includes email marketing and review, because I want for it to show up when people search for that in Google. It’s also easy enough to remember. Choosing a registrar, however, might not be so easy. My friend has a blog at betterdomainregistrar.com that you can follow. It covers one of the largest registrars in the world and how they do business. It will give you some inside information you might otherwise not have. Just a helpful tip.

Still going great

I did my second email campaign and sent it out a couple of days ago. It went a lot faster the second time around since I’m familiar with Constant Contact’s tools now. Traffic to my website has continued to climb and I am seeing a lot of new customers, as well as current clients ordering more things from me. The interface is really intuitive, even for someone as green as me to all of this. I have nothing but great things to say about my experience with Constant Contact so far, and I see nothing but more good things to come.

Very happy so far

I finished my first email template and sent it out a couple days ago. So far traffic to my site is up as well as sales. Things are going great! Another great thing Constant Contact offers is a reporting program that shows how your email campaign is doing. It shows how many people have opened my email, how many people have clicked through to my website, and a whole lot of other information that will help me make my next email even better. This is going great, and I’m really excited to get started on another email.

First impressions are always telling

In my opinion, the first impression is always the most important. My first impression of Constant Contact is great. I’m still working on my first email to send out, but everything seems to be smooth sailing so far. Their designer is really easy to use, and it’s all done through templates. It allows me to easily choose what I want my customers to see, and how to best get my ideas and offers across. I’m really excited to see how it turns out.

Just starting out

I have just signed up with Constant Contact, and I wanted to document my experience with them in hopes that I can help someone else see what they offer and what it’s like to be with them. I am a complete novice when it comes to email marketing, so this is going to be a new experience for me and my business. Hopefully it pays off as well as I’m anticipating.
